GANS at Georgia Nurses Day at the Capitol 2026

Atlanta, GA | March 2026

This March, members of the Georgia Association of Nursing Students joined nurses and nursing students from across the state at the Georgia State Capitol for Nurses Day at the Capitol, an annual advocacy event that brings the nursing community together to meet with legislators and speak up for the profession.

Advocacy is a core part of who we are. Nursing students have a powerful voice in shaping the policies that affect patient care, the nursing workforce, and the future of healthcare in Georgia, and events like this offer hands-on experience in legislative advocacy with no prior experience required.
